She’s Greek, she’s gorgeous and she’s always on trend. In this week’s TRAVEL TALK, lifestyle and travel blogger Anna Giannarou reveals why she fell in love with Los Angeles…
That one time I fell in love with Los Angeles
Visiting Los Angeles (and California in general) has always been on my wishlist: the palm trees, endless beaches, the Hollywood Sign, Beverly Hills and many more! As the plane was touching down Los Angeles International Airport I felt excited! I was finally here!
Over the course of 3 days my friends and I explored the city, the beaches and of course hiked up to that Hollywood Sign! Needless to say that I fell in love with the city, as it is unlike any other American city that I’ve visited so far. Venice and Santa Monica have to be my favorite parts of the city due to the proximity to the sea, Abbot Kinney boulevard (and Instagram photos coming to life) and Venice canals. Oh how I wish I owned a house there!
The view from Griffith Observatory was breathtaking and brought me the song “City of Angels” by 30 Seconds to Mars in mind…although I’m not an aspiring actor and never will be! Walking downtown LA exposed me to aspects of this city I never knew existed (and delicious desserts as well). I didn’t have my Pretty Woman moment walking down Rodeo Drive but at least I made sure that I passed by even by car!
I left my heart in Los Angeles and hope to revisit the city sooner or later! Want to learn more about Los Angeles? Here are 12 fun things I did in the city.
